Britney Spears "Womanizer"
For a minute, all Britney had to do were simple things like form a complete sentence or pick up Moonmen with nary a gaffe and “comeback” was on the tip of everyone’s tongue. Her streak of un-f-up’s continues, and comfortingly, it’s in the form that truly matters: a really good pop song.
Unless you’ve been kidnapped by an international crime organization and held hostage in an underground cage on some un-mapped private island, you’ve most likely heard her new single “Womanizer” (don’t think you’re gonna get the original here…Big Brother is watching and they frighten me). A fizzy electro-pop anthem that effortlessly succeeds where Christina Aguilera’s current Goldfrapp-ian musical makeover kinda doesn’t, the track has Spears outing players on the prowl.
“Boy don’t try to front I know just what you are,” she zings, announcing his unscrupulous ways to any woman within ear-distance in the giddy, “nah-nah”-styled hook. Whether this was created with a personal life tie-in isn’t known, but it’s hard not to look at this as an attempt to rescue any potential Mrs. Federline’s of the future. And for that, the entire female population should be forever thankful.
I love this song and the video but I hate her wigs….!
