Chrisette Michele & Lem Payne featuring Drake “Aston Martin Music”

Ask a bunch of people why they dig Rick Ross’ “Aston Martin Music” and you’ll likely get back many answers. For some, it’s a winner simply because they just can’t get enough of Rick Ross’ burly flow or Drake’s wispy singing. For others, it’s the sparkling, ’80′s soul groove gently floating underneath everything that has made it not only their summertime jam, but their current autumn addiction.

For us though, it’s all about Chrisette Michele.

The jazzy R&B belle may only contribute a half of a hook in the original version, but her four bar cameo (coupled with that chilled-out groove) is what gives the song that extra magical oomph to our ears; and since our initial peeping of the cut, we’ve been anxious for her to drop some sort of “AMM” sequel so we can be gifted with an extended dose of her just marinating in the bliss of her and her boo cruising around town in a high-priced ride “vibin’ to the music”.

Apparently she heard our wishes, cooking up this hot R&B-leaning remix of the Ross cut from her debut mixtape release Love Thy Brother (a collaborative effort with real-life bro Lem Payne) in which she’s heard silkily trilling of the momentary delight of the “breeze in my kinky hair” and “wind on my red lips”.

Hear it below, pick up Love Thy Brother here, then catch the new video for “I’m A Star”, the first single from Michele’s third album Let Freedom Reign (arriving November 30th).
