Kimbra “Cameo Lover”
Previously lauded around these parts last fall when first peeped in a live in-studio performance clip we couldn’t peel our eyes (and ears) away from, “Cameo Lover”, by New Zealand-born/ Australia-based jazzy-pop fascination Kimbra, has finally been given a proper promotional push, now accompanied by a music video that’s as equally charming as the song’s cutesy bridging of classic girl group, doo-wop, blue-eyed soul, lounge-pop and Motown.
Just try to argue us down that everything sent through your speakers between the 2:22 and 2:36 marks isn’t pure summertime pop bliss.
