CyHi Da Prynce may not be the biggest name attached to the G.O.O.D. Music label, but the fact that the 26-year-old ATL-ien is not only a better-than-your-average-rhyme-slinger with noteworthy versatility (he sounds just as comfortable in street-banger mode as he does when satisfying the clubs and ladies), but is also in such close company with a clique that boasts names like Kanye, Pusha T, John Legend, Kid Cudi and Common, is all the reasons one would need to have an increased interest in his latest mixtape, Royal Flush 2, a sturdy set highlighted by a wide range of styles and CyHi’s big-name connections (including contributions by the aforementioned Yeezy and Pusha, plus B.o.B., Trey Songz, No I.D., Yelawolf, Big Sean, Pill and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League).
The music blog world has already went nuts over the jazzy chill “Woopty Doo”, but below, get acquainted with two other RF2 tracks that should keep the buzz over CyHi’s forthcoming official debut strong: “Bulletproof”, the umpteenth hip hop spin on La Roux’ deathless 2009 dance hit of the same name, now tricked out with some intense dub-step flavor and yet another bonkers Yelawolf cameo jam-packed with the Shady Records signee’s rapid-fire trailer park pimp swag, and the humorous “Sunday Morning”, which utilizes another oft-sampled number (The Commodores’ light rock staple “Easy”) to support CyHi’s adventures with Other Dudes’ Women.
