Pandr Eyes “Little Bit”/ “Leave Me Here”

It’s too bad we’ve just come to discover the gorgeous, glistening electro-based R&B-pop sounds of DIY UK/ US duo Pandr Eyes with summer now coming to a close, because we’re pretty sure the few songs the unsigned act have out would’ve earned heavy rotation by us throughout the hotter-than-hot season.

The dreamy “Little Bit”, with it’s floaty, understated coos (brought to life by singer and songwriter Ferren) and shimmering layers of synths that seem to drift by in slow motion (helmed by producer Tom) sounds like a demo-stage The-Dream/ Mariah Carey collaboration made in the bedroom on someone’s laptop; though rather than revolve around some diva-powered sassiness, it’s seducing, hip hop-baked lyrics are more concerned with the higher personal budget that comes with hitting the big time (“After all that cash what you think about me?/ Bought these brand new kicks/ What you think about these?/…Didn’t have too much when we started this game/ Now we’re doing alright check my diamonds and rings”).

Meanwhile, the midtempo-ballad-leaning “Leave Me Here” bristles with heartache at the core of it’s fuzzy, candy-coated melody-filled frame, Ferren emoting to a jerk of a lover “I think you would leave me here/ Lying on the ground” as keyboard glitter explodes around her broken-spirit vocals in demonstration of her internal devastation.

Hear both gems below, with “Little Bit” available for free download, and then proceed to mourn over the fact that your June-August now seems lacking without Pandr Eyes in it:
