Big K.R.I.T. “Boobie Miles”

Life growing up would have been so much better if we had had a chill uncle like Big K.R.I.T. around to drop jewels of thick Southern accent-laden, inspirational wisdom in our ears every time we felt like we couldn’t handle the world.

On “Boobie Miles”, the self-produced first leak from K.R.I.T.’s upcoming mixtape 4evaNaDay, the Mississippi-based underground rap superstar sets his mic skills to uplift; but don’t think this is some sappy, watered-down bid at Top 40 attention, K.R.I.T.’s delivery remaining as hood-cool and slick-tongued as ever as he dishes out some pretty thought-provoking obstacle-overcoming message raps (“Just be aware that everybody ain’t your friend/ They’ll be gone with the wind once your jump shot don’t go in”; “Don’t be eager to run with crowds, stay in your lane/ Pass the knowledge on to your team, but carry the flame”; Put god first and free your soul/ Cause even olympic runners sometimes lose their gold”) to the tune of a pimpishly laidback, sax-drenched soul sample.

Check out the song below (4eva N A Day drops February 20th), then hear BK hook up his heroes, Memphis hip hop icons 8Ball & MJG, with his signature throwback Southern rap swag on their latest cut “We Buy Gold”.
