Pusha T featuring Popcaan & Travi$ Scott “Blocka”

Slightly lessening the disappointment of Pusha T‘s long-awaited full-length solo debut My Name Is My Name being pushed back to one of those industry vague “early 2013” release dates, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper has opted to bless the masses with a new freebie tape, Wrath of Caine, due later this month.

Earlier tonight that set’s first leak dropped in the form of “Blocka”, and true to form, the track represents the latest Pusha T cut seemingly tailor made for creeping, late-night drives through the streets with nothing but dark thoughts on the mind.

Featuring labelmate rapper/ producer Travi$ Scott on the hook and opening with a hood-tough toast from dancehall act Popcaan (“All of them that talk hard softer than clay/ None of dem have the guts to rise it and spray/ None of them have the guts to bust the SK”), the Young Chop-produced “Blocka” finds Pusha basically serving another effortless round of what he does best, boastful lyrical bullets dripping with gritted teeth menace and dark wit (“I know the rent due/ Fuck me right and it’s sent through/ Third time you done used the line/ God damn, she a pimp, too”) that are sure to be quoted (and re-quoted) all over Twitter timelines for the next week or so.
